Watercolors

Once again I was forced out of my comfort zone by a 365 Cards challenge. Day 242's task was to use only watercolors on a stamped image. I usually stamp small images or words on my cards, so this was different for me. I had watercolor markers, although I don't use them very often. Here's my take on the challenge.

Scraplift card

Day 243's challenge at 365 Cards was to scraplift 2 of your own cards. I pulled the triangles from this card . . .

and the ticket sentiment from this card . . .

and voila!

Blog inspiration

Day 244 Challenge at 365 Cards was to use their awesome new banner as inspiration. I loved the fall colors and used those for my color scheme. The flourishes were the perfect "corners" for the card.

A flock of book fairies!

We were so excited to dress up this year for Halloween at MtV! My teaching partner and I joined forces with the librarians and transformed into our alter egos -- the book fairies! We each put our own twist on our costumes, but they were all similar. The kids loved it!

More blog candy!

Here's another great prize offer from the Latte Lounge! So much fun stuff!

Blog candy!

Wow, THIS is an amazing prize pack! Check it out :-) I would love to have all of those Copics!

More cards

I'm really loving the challenges from 365 Cards, especially because they're pushing me outside of my comfort zone. I generally don't do a ton of stamping nor do I use lots of glitter, but Monday's Day 239 challenge was to use glitter on a stamped image and I did it:-) I even used 3 different colors!

This is my entry for 365 Cards: Day 238 sketch
I found the fun pom-pom ribbon on clearance the other day and had to do something with it ASAP! I used black flocking on the handwritten "Boo!" and the stamped spiderweb.

I can't wait for tomorrow's challenge!

Halloween stuff

Just wanted to share some of the things that I've been working on this fall. I got the idea for this centerpiece from Craft Warehouse. It's a papier-mache witch's hat with Halloween paper layered around it. I finished it off with some self-adhesive pumpkin trim and a little orange tinsel ribbon around the base and on the tippy top.

This card is for Challenge #240 here on 365 Cards.
The challenge was to use patterned paper on the outside AND inside of a card. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

That's all for now. I've been working on Christmas presents, but I can't post those here just yet;-)
